2. What we collect and why
- Launch list: your email address, registration date and the consent wording accepted. We use consent under Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR to record your request for GlinFi launch updates and to send those updates when email delivery is configured.
- Contact enquiries: your name, email, subject, message and submission date. We use this information to respond and maintain relevant correspondence. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us, balanced against your rights.
- Privacy requests: your request, contact details and proportionate verification information if needed. We use this to meet applicable legal obligations.
- Aggregate website measurement: daily counts of page views, successful launch-list registrations, successful contact submissions and weekly-plan downloads. The analytics table stores the date, page path, event name and aggregate count. It does not store an analytics visitor ID, IP address, full referrer, device fingerprint or the figures entered in the planner.
- Website delivery and security: hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser information and request logs to deliver and protect the service.
Sending an enquiry is not consent to marketing. Contact-form users are not added to the launch list automatically.
3. Your planner numbers stay in the page
The weekly planner calculates in your browser. GlinFi does not upload or store the income, commitments or reserves you type into it. No bank connection or payment information is required. If you request a download, the browser creates a text file on your device; it is not sent to GlinFi.
4. Aggregate analytics and your right to object
GlinFi uses a first-party, aggregate counter solely to understand and improve this website. It does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, cross-site tracking, profiling or individual journey histories. GlinFi relies on legitimate interests for this limited aggregate measurement and on the UK PECR statistical-purposes exception for any associated storage or access technology. That exception requires clear information and a simple, free way to object.
Use Analytics choices. GlinFi also treats Global Privacy Control and the browser Do Not Track signal as an objection.
The opt-out is saved in local browser storage so the site can remember it. Clearing browser storage removes that saved choice. Provider security logs are separate from the aggregate analytics table.
5. Launch updates and withdrawing consent
Joining the launch list is optional. The checkbox is not preselected. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing contact@glinfi.com. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful. A minimal suppression record may be retained where necessary to ensure marketing does not restart accidentally.
The website currently records registrations but does not send automated launch emails. Before email delivery begins, GlinFi will configure the sending provider, sender details and an easy opt-out in each marketing email.
6. Service providers and international processing
The website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites on Cloudflare-backed infrastructure. These providers may process technical request and security information on GlinFi’s behalf or under their own documented service roles. Provider systems can operate internationally. GlinFi does not claim that all processing remains in the UK.
No external Google Fonts request, advertising network or third-party marketing analytics service is used by the current website. GlinFi does not sell launch-list or contact-form information.
7. Retention
- Launch registrations: retained while needed for the requested pre-launch and launch communications, reviewed at least every six months, and normally deleted within 12 months after the final launch-update campaign unless consent is withdrawn earlier or a limited compliance record is justified.
- Ordinary enquiries: normally retained for up to 12 months after the enquiry is resolved, unless a specific legal or dispute-related need requires longer.
- Aggregate analytics: stored as daily totals. The analytics table contains no visitor-level record. GlinFi reviews whether older aggregate data remains useful at least annually.
- Provider security logs and backups: retained according to the applicable provider configuration and contract. They are not represented as part of GlinFi’s aggregate analytics dataset.
8. Your data protection rights
Depending on the processing and applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent for consent-based processing at any time. Some rights have legal conditions and exceptions.
Contact contact@glinfi.com. GlinFi normally responds without undue delay and within one calendar month, applying any lawful verification, clarification or extension rules.
9. Complaints, children and automated decisions
You can raise a concern at contact@glinfi.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
The launch list is intended for adults aged 18 or over. This website does not make credit, lending or other decisions about people that produce legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing. The planner is a budgeting estimate, not a creditworthiness assessment.
10. Changes and the future app
This notice is reviewed when the website’s actual data flows change. Any future bank integration, AI provider, paid subscription, advertising or non-aggregate tracking requires a fresh assessment and updated information before use. This website notice is not a substitute for the future mobile app’s privacy notice.
