Purpose and scope
The Money Journal explains general budgeting concepts and how GlinFi’s tools work. It does not assess whether a decision is suitable for a particular person, recommend investments or financial products, or promise a financial outcome.
Who writes the content
Articles are written by Istvan Bardoczi, GlinFi’s founder and product builder. The author profile states the relevant role and does not claim regulated financial-advice credentials.
Source standards
We prefer current UK primary and authoritative sources, including GOV.UK, the Financial Conduct Authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office and the Bank of England. For practical consumer guidance we may use MoneyHelper, which is provided by the Money and Pensions Service, and established free debt-support organisations where relevant. Commercial sources are not used to disguise advertising as education.
Calculations and examples
Worked examples show their assumptions and distinguish an average from an actual payment date or guaranteed result. Budgeting calculations are checked against the stated formula. Illustrative figures are labelled and are not represented as typical user results.
Review and updates
Each article shows a publication date and a most recent review date. A review checks the article’s clarity, calculations and cited links. A changed review date means the content was checked; it does not imply endorsement by an external expert. Time-sensitive claims are updated or removed when they can no longer be supported.
Corrections
Send correction requests to contact@glinfi.com with the article URL and the issue. We correct material errors and update the review date when the change is substantive. Minor spelling or formatting corrections may not receive a separate note.
Commercial independence
GlinFi may describe its own planned product and prices, but editorial articles must distinguish that product information from general education. Sponsored or affiliate content is not currently published. If that changes, the commercial relationship must be clearly disclosed where the content appears.
Safety boundary
Content must not encourage readers to ignore bills, priority debts, legal obligations or professional help. Where a generic budgeting tool is not enough, the article should signpost an appropriate independent source. GlinFi is not a crisis, debt-advice, investment-advice or regulated financial-advice service.
